Spanning two centuries in a small Trinity Bay outport, it weaves a delicate web of the everyday with the unseen and outworldy.

Firmament offers a place where the grit of the mundane intersects with the mystery of human desires, dreams and memory.

Firmament is Bruce Johnson's debut novel.

Prior to this year's publication, Johnson's manuscript was shortlisted for the 2007 Fresh Fish Award for Emerging Writers (WANL) as well as the 2007 Metcalfe-Rooke Award (Biblioasis).

The book is published by Gaspereau Press.
