Firmament is Bruce Johnson's debut novel.

Prior to this year's publication, Johnson's manuscript was shortlisted for the 2007 Fresh Fish Award for Emerging Writers (WANL) as well as the 2007 Metcalfe-Rooke Award (Biblioasis).
